Her dissertation was on the management of acute ankle injuries, and in her spare time Anna goes to the gym to keep fit. She is a fluent speaker of Russian as well as English. Beatrice Zappi ( known to the team as Zappi). Before completing a four year masters at the university College of osteopathy (formally BSO) Zappi Volunteered with wildlife, human rights and refugee aid. Zappi is interested in treating a broad range of patients with musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. Her approaches is structural with a focus on education, guidance, exercise plans to promote movement that is free from pain and fear. Jenny re-trained as a sports massage therapist after a 25 year career as a veterinary nurse. As an avid gym goer and dog walker she decided to focus her attention on personal growth and fitness, having recognised how challenging it is to balance exercise progression with the aches and pains of aging and navigating the menopause. This led Jenny to undertake her training and begin her career as a sports massage therapist, so that she can also have a positive impact on other peoples’ people’s well-being. Jody grew up in Northamptonshire and returned to practice here after qualifying from the British School of Osteopathy in 2000 with a BSc(Hons) in osteopathy. Ruth graduated from Oxford Brooks University in 2014, after which she also undertook postgraduate training in equine osteopathy and now combines treating people and horses. Following a career training horse and riders Ruth now enjoys combining her skills and having a varied work balance. Ruth enjoys treating a variety of people and has a particular interest in treating shoulder problems and teaching the benefits of a healthy diet on healing and injury prevention. Dr Bandaranaike qualified in Ayurvedic Medicine in Sri Lanka and in Acupuncture both in Sri Lanka and China. She was senior consultant at the Tyringham Clinic for 15 years and then joined the Harrold Medical Practice in Bedford, as a visiting consultant and acupuncturist before offering treatments at Kettering Osteopaths. Dr Bandaranaike is a senior member of the British Acupuncture Council. Dr Bandaranaike uses traditional acupuncture to treat a wide variety of conditions and illnesses. These may include arthritis, pain, eczema, asthma, stress and anxiety, migraine, menstrual and digestive disorders. Nikki qualified in massage in 1986 and has been part of the Kettering Osteopaths’s team for over 25 years. She trained at the London School of Sports Massage and has completed advanced soft tissue courses. Nikki is able to identify and treat soft tissue injuries i.e. strains and sprains as well as general muscular aches and pains. Nikki has treated semi professional sportsmen, dancers and recreational athletes, as well as teaching sports massage as a module of a BTEC Sports & Exercise Science Diploma. Being qualified in reflexology since 2002, Nikki uses this alternative therapy to treat a wide range of stress-related conditions. She is fully registered and insured both as a sports and remedial massage therapist, reflexologist, and a lecturer of sports massage.

Rob qualified as an osteopath in 2018 and has an interest in helping his patients understand their biomechanical dysfunction. He seeks to treat and rehabilitate his clients in the most efficient way he can. Having first qualified in Personal Fitness Training, Rob already had an excellent insight into the way the body works prior to starting his undergraduate osteopathy training. He has a particular interest in sports injuries, biomechanics and rehabilitation work, as well as exercise advice to manage recovery. Rob’s other main interests are going to the gym for a weights session or to attend a boxing class . His next project is to learn the guitar, which he started to do as a teenager, but through his sports background never had enough time to focus on properly. Natalie qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 2008 after completing a four years honours degree in osteopathy, having previously been a professional dancer with the Berlin Ballet. She is a recognised tutor in anatomy and physiology for the Royal Academy of Ballet, and was also awarded the osteopathic technique prize for her year. Natalie is happy to treat all types of mechanical injuries and musculo-skeletal problems with a variety of structural and cranial techniques. Natalie is registered as a provider of osteopathic care with most of the private medical companies.

Jo is the principal osteopath at the practice. She qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1987, and subsequently returned to teach osteopathic technique and was a clinic tutor. Jo has taught and examined both students and post graduate osteopaths in both Europe and Australasia, and continues to act as an examiner in clinical competence for the General Osteopathic Council. She has chaired the maternity services liaison committee at Kettering Hospital. Jo worked a several practices before coming to Kettering in 1987 and has curated a top- class team of practitioners of which she is justifiably proud.
